Here in Southern Utah we are surrounded by many beautiful things. Some of the local national parks include Zion National Park, Bryce National Park,
Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Mead, Lake Powell, Cedar Breaks, and Snows Canyon. There are several scenic areas that you can fly.
Zion National Park
Zion National Park, one of the scenic wonders of the natural world, is centrally located in Southern Utah.
Famous for it's deep canyons, sandstone cliffs, and scenic vistas, Zion National Park combines the gentle
beauty of lush forestland with the towering majesty of colorful mountain peaks. Zion National Park is located in the heart of Southern Utah's Color Country and is Utah's most popular national park. Zion is home to breathtaking scenery and some of the most rugged, mountainous terrain in the West. While ATVs (all-terrain vehicle/4-wheeler) riding is not allowed within Zion Park there are thousands of acres of private property located on high plateaus overlooking the Park's famous canyons. ATVs are the modern, mechanized horses that offer a new brand of adventure and the ability to go places that are difficult for even horses! |

Bryce National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park is a series of natural amphitheaters below which stands an
array of white and orange limestone columns and walls sculptured by erosion. The erosion
has been accomplished mainly by rain, snow, and frost prying off cliff fragments rather
than by stream erosion. Nearby streams actually flow away from the canyon. The high rim
country of the park is part forest dominated by fir, pine, and aspen, and part meadows
of grass and sage. At lower, drier altitudes, pinon pine and Utah juniper predominate.

Lake Powell
More than 1 million acres of incredibly diverse and beautiful land await you in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (NRA). The canyons, buttes, and desert sands invite you to discover a place that tells the story of nearly 650 million years of the earth's history.
Glen Canyon NRA is nestled in the center of the Grand Circle, a collection of seven national parks, seven national monuments, and numerous state parks, historical sites, prehistoric Indian ruins, colorful ghost towns, and stunning geologic formations that reach from northern Arizona into southern Utah.

Grand Canyon National Park
Located almost entirely in northern Arizona, the park covers 277 miles of the Colorado River and surrounding areas.
One of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world, Grand Canyon is unmatched in the incomparable
vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. Grand Canyon National Park is a World Heritage Site.
Expect crowds during the spring, summer, and fall months. During these months reservations for camping and lodging
are essential.
When visiting the South Rim, be sure to go to Canyon View Information Plaza, there you will find information to help
plan your Grand Canyon visit.
